Interbike Day #2

Sunday, October 2nd, 2011

More tired feet…..Tons of parts to look at.  It all turns into one big blur.  We did see some Lamborghini and Ferraris in Vegas.  That is not unusual but the ones we saw were!  Also some other high end bikes were the Carbon Intense and Norco rigs. E Thirteen / The Hive is starting to do pedals, cranks, and who knows what else.

Intebike Day #1

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

First Day of Interbike was just as expected…feet got beat from a ton of walking. We came across a few good items and will have a bunch of goodies in the shop soon. Here is a sneak peak..including some USA made Atomlab parts!  We also had the privelage to get a custom painted helmet by Skratch. He has done a lot of the graphics for Bell.

Sunline Chainguide for rock smackin

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

If you find yourself hitting rocks, logs, small children and ripping your chainguide off this might help. The chainguide actually pivots in the middle. So hopefully the chainguide or ISCG tabs wont rip off your bike.

Marzocchi has some color

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

Lets hope that they paid some attention to how the forks work also. But these colors are sick! I have heard from reputable sources (not marzocchi) that the inside of the new forks are dialed. Way better than the past couple of years! Only time will tell…oh I hope they are as smooth as my 2001 monster T.

Kelly McGarry’s Bike Stolen at Interbike

Monday, September 27th, 2010

The best thing that you could do is get that bike to the nearest bike shop and drop it off. I partied with him at interbike and you can not meet a nicer person. Also if you get caught with it no telling what might be done to you.

New decline magazine is Thick!

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

Just got in the new November Issue of Decline and it is FAT! This thing is worth it just for the paper alone. I thought you might forget to purchase the new one and miss out on this collectors edition. Glossy and matte finish with the front and back cover with photos. They also show you how the shot on the cover was accomplished. Just come on down to ghy bikes in Renton. We are you local family downtown bicycle shop with an edge!

Interbike..still not dead yet

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Phil and A.J. gamblinHere is my take on Interbike.  There is 100lbs of crap in a 5lb bag.  So there is some quality stuff among the dead wood.  This year Phil, Drew (our computer tech) and I went to assault Vegas.  I found out Phil and I have two passions in common, riding and gambling.  With many hours drinking and pushing buttons and throwin dice it was hard to make the rounds at the show.  If you have not been before it basically takes 3 days of walking to see everything in the place.  Thats a lot of bike stuff.

Eastern Black BettyHere are some of the things that I think are worth taking a look.  First off lets start with the hardtail I am trying to ride this year.  It is an Eastern…from BMX fame.  So the short back end will be easy to manual and perfect for any street/park situation.  HINT:  take a look at the headtube.

Vegas baby!

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Just like the rest of the bike industry ghy is sending a crew of folks down to Las Vegas for Interbike. AJ, Phil, Scott, and myself will be heading down to enjoy all that Vegas has to offer. While there is plenty of work to be done during the day I’m sure we’ll find a way to keep ourselves busy at night.

My goal is to bring you info on the stuff that matters most to you. All you have to do is leave a comment in the posts and I’ll try to take a pic or video. I’ll also keep myself busy by hunting down the craziest stuff I see at Interbike because there is more to the convention than just the latest suspension linkage.

Just an FYI: The shop will be closed on Tuesday like normal, but it will also be closed on Wednesday. Speaking of the shop click below to check out some pics of how it is looking now a days. There is plenty more not pictured but this should give you a good idea of what’s going on.
