The celebration of 1 year for Duthie MTB Park was a success. Evergreen threw a great party with a beer garden, taco truck, and tons of demo bikes. Transition had a good amount of bikes and a high wheeler for the daring. We brought out a ton of Norco bikes and sold some of our new Go Huck Yourself gear too! People sessioned the step up and all the trails were buzzing with riders. Lets hope for many more years of fun!
Good little test session. Getting used to throwing tricks of a huge step up is a little weird. Gotta throw that stuff early! It didnt stop Phil Sundbaum and others from going big.
We should be out at our trail on Sunday doing major work getting ready for the June 11th one year Duthie Anniversary. So stop by and give us a hand on Sunday…not sure what time (the trail starts right between Ryans and Big Trees’ lines).
I helped push this huge ramp into place and then Jon started killing it. Thanks to all the people who built this awesome practice trick jump. I predict a Crankworx finalist coming from Duthie in the next five years.
Check it out this is about half of the line so far and more to come. We are just waiting to get a little bit more time and the mini X back out there! This is the medium part of the line and there is more tweaking and drainage to do so I will try to post up on my facebook when we are digging. Enjoy and thanks to RC Stephen for the little vid!
By size alone these two guys are huge! I am in the middle and standing at 6’2″ (A.J. Johnson). Phil Sundbaum (now working at the shop) and Kelly McGarry (stopping by to say whats up). Kelly got his bike dialed in for the road trip with Phil and the contest down at Goldmans UDUG 2011. In a couple weeks they should be back and might have a good session out at Duthie and local parks. Stay Tuned!
We actually broke ground and started the massive task of building a line at Duthie MTB Park. The givin objective was to build an intermediate line to bridge the gap from 2-Hi to Zeb’s Line. We designed most of the jumps to be a two or three lip to one landing kind of situation. Also some hips, that allow for building skills, along with rollable doubles. Here are a few pics of what was accomplished the first week. We will be out Sunday 3-27-11 around Two to keep the progress going! Its right between Ryan’s line and Zeb’s. Feel free to stop by and help…enjoy.
