Speedy Beaver Women’s Downhill Clinic at P.A.
October 1st, 2007
LADIES! Come join the Speedy Beavers for a FREE Downhill Clinic at Dry Hill in Port Angeles on Saturday October 13, 2007. We will be shuttling a number of the trails and be splitting into groups based on ability. We will meet at 10:00 am in the parking area by the mountain cross course at Dry Hill (see directions below) and riding until about 4:00 pm. What to bring: lunch and snacks, full face helmet, body armor, full finger gloves, a freeride or downhill bike (preferably a 6″er or bigger), and friends! If you need some equipment or a bike, please email us ASAP so we can help track things down. We will be spending the night in Port Angeles and having dinner in town, please feel free to join us. You will receive a discount at the Red Lion Hotel by mentioning that you are coming to PA for an event with the Olympic Dirt Society.
The Speedy Beavers would like to thank the Olympic Dirt Society and the Washington State DNR for allowing us to hold an event at this great location by putting together a donation for continued development of the trail system at Dry Hill. The Olympic Dirt Society is planning on hosting downhill and cross country races in 2008 at this venue on a series of existing and new trails.
Directions:
Take Highway 101 West thru Port Angeles to a dirt road on the left called Walkabout Road. Go up about 200 yards to a large yellow gate on your right. Go about 100 feet further up the road, on the left is the mountain cross course and some parking and on the right is additional parking. This is the meeting location. Meet at 10:00 and we will get organized from there.
